Sound Design Workshop (16-24 Year Olds)

This two day workshop is free for any 16 – 24 year olds who want to find out more about a career in sound design and have a go at creating and recording sounds, editing and mixing them.

There will be practical exercises during the 2 days, with a focus on sound design for radio drama but also covering soundtracking for games and film.

This will be an informal, enjoyable taster workshop with extremely experienced leaders.

There will be a new radio drama called “Kafka Chic” broadcast during Sensoria Festival that may include some of the sounds recorded during the workshop.

“Kafka Chic” is written by Michael Somerset Ward featuring new music co-written with Dean Honer. The drama will feature a huge line up of Sheffield musicians – both established and new talent – as well as narration by Graham Fellows (aka John Shuttleworth).

Places will be highly sought after, please only book places if you are confident that you can attend and on both days.
